제 5기 HP 글로벌 체험단. 12명의 사진이야. 8월 13일 우리는 INTEL 본사를 방문하기 위해 San Francisco로 이동했지. 공항에서 101번 도로를 따라 남쪽으로 20여분 달리자 Oracle, Yahoo 본사를 시작으로 말로만 듣던 Silicon Valley 가 시작되었어. 그리고 잠시 후 San Jose에 도착하였을 때 우리는 Intel 본사의 모습을 볼 수 있었지. 이공계, 컴퓨터 관련 전공도 아닌 경제학을 전공하는 나에게 Intel은 그저 CPU를 만드는 회사라는 이미지 뿐이었지만 Intel 이 매우 큰 회사라는 건 알고 있었지.
하지만 큰 회사에 어울리지 않게 조금은 작아 보이는 건물 크기 조금은 놀라었나봐. 그 앞에서 우리는 간단히 기념촬영을 하고 본격적으로 INTEL 방문 일정을 시작하였어
1. Robert N. Noyce Building 2. Brad Houser 3. Intel Museum
1. Robert N. Noyce Building "Optimism is the most important ingredient of innovation" 라는 말을 남긴 Intel의 설립자의 이름을 딴 건물이지.
2. Brad Houser 프리젠테이션을 담당해 주신 분이야. Intel의 Overview와 함께 R&D의 중요성, 무어의 법칙 등을 설명해 주셨지.
3. Intel Museum 1968년 회사를 설립하였을 때 부터, 286시대를 지나 펜티엄시대, 그리고 오늘과 미래까지를 볼 수 있는 곳이었어. 사진은 가이드를 맡아주신 친절한 Lita씨.
